As you know, we recently released 4K Video Downloader+, a new application that surpasses 4K Video Downloader in different aspects and has features that were not possible in the old application due to technical limitations.
The old 4K Video Downloader Downloader was released in 2013, so it has been supported, modified and updated for these ten years. Now, since the old code base does not allow us to implement new features in the old application, we have decided to release the next generation
Please note that the 4K Video Downloader will still be supported and all the features you paid for will remain at a decent level. Update frequency will also not be affected; updates will be released just like they are now.

General differences between 4K Video Downloader+ and 4K Video Downloader
Different codes in order to launch 4K Video Downloader+ , we completely refactored the code. It allowed us to implement some features that 4K Video Downloader lacked.
Code refactoring > More features can be achieved > More content downloads can be achieved.
Different features. Some of our users claimed that the apps are the same. If they were the same, they would have the same feature pack and the same code base. It took us 1.5 years to refactor the code and implement the new features .
Extended functions. Here we take Bilibili as an example. Both 4K Video Downloader and 4K Video Downloader+ can save Bilibili videos. However, it is technically impossible to download them with higher quality resolution in 4K Video Downloader Higher than 480p because Bilibili only allows registered users to download high-quality content. The in-app browser implemented in the new application allows you to log in to your Bilibili account and thus download 720p and 1080p from Bilibili.

Faster Downloads: Now you don't have to wait for an entire channel or playlist to be parsed. 4K Video Downloader+ allows you to save a single video while parsing the channel without waiting for it to complete.

In-app browser
4K Video Downloader+
This is the first thing you see when starting 4K Video Downloader+. The implementation of this function is entirely due to the code re-coding we told you above. Structure.
How does the in-app browser help you?
The in-app browser allows you to search and download audio and video directly within the app without opening your computer to browse Downloader. Just press the website icon and enter your query in the search field to find the video.
It lets you log into a platform that allows you to download more content. In-app login lets you download private content and have more quality options (as is the case with Bilibili).
So with the functionality implemented by the in-app browser, you can download more private content and sometimes higher quality than the old app allowed. High Video.
Old 4K Video Downloader
Old 4K Video Downloader does not have this functionality because the codebase in the app does not allow us to launch it.
You may disagree and say that in-app login to YouTube also works in old 4K video downloader. This is correct. But old version 4K video downloader only supports in-app login to YouTube.
4K video download Device+ also allows you to log in to Bilibili, SoundCloud, Facebook, Vimeo and other websites to download videos and audios without logging in and leaving the app.
Smart Mode

Legacy 4K Video Downloader
Smart mode in the old app can be accessed by pressing the light icon next to the "Paste Link" button in the upper left corner.
The settings you can choose here are similar to 4K Video Downloader+, but not exactly the same. In the old 4K Video Downloader, you can also choose content type and format (both selected), quality, Format and Output Folder.
What the smart mode in the old version of 4K Video Downloader lacked was the ability to select the frame rate while downloading the video and the operating system.
