Everyone knows that Google's Play Store in the United States, Japan, Europe and other countries not only sells apps, but also sells books, movies, music and hardware. Among them, Taiwan's first store only had apps for paid downloads, and has been gradually opened in the past two years. Services such as e-book purchase and newly launched video downloads and rentals, although not fast, are gradually opening up. Today, Play Market has also quietly launched a hardware sales project in the Taiwan Play Store. Let’s get up and take a look at what good stuff there is.

First open the Play Store URL (https://play.google.com/store), and you will see that there is an additional “ "Devices" option (the mobile version of the Play Store is not yet displayed):

On the "Devices" page (https://play.google.com/store/devices) you can see what devices are currently on sale in Taiwan. Hardware facilities include Google Nexus, which Ada has written about before, and ChromeCast, which is also available through general e-commerce channels. MOTO360, Nexus6, and Nexus Player, which are sold in other US regions, are not yet on the shelves:

Among them, "Nexus9" is currently only available in the 16GB Wi-Fi version (please click here). The price is NT$12,900. It will be shipped in about one to two days and will arrive within three days. The warehouse may be located in Taiwan:

ChromeCast is sold for 1,390 yuan, which is the same as the market price (please click here to purchase):

Payment will be automatically made with the credit card bound to Google during checkout, and the shipping fee seems to be calculated separately:

Although Google has opened up new services this time, it has no advantages over Taiwan's ASAP, PCHOME and Tsann Kuen in terms of items, prices, payment terms (no installment payment) and speed, unless it is gradually introduced to Taiwan in the future. Single products that are not available on the market (such as Nexus6, Google Glass...) will not be attractive in a short period of time, but Google's taking this step also represents Google's affirmation that Taiwan is a very mature market, and now the only thing missing is "music" This piece of the puzzle is complete, and I look forward to that day.
